Are you new to adult language teaching? When you're new to something, it's often difficult to know where to turn for answers to seemingly straightforward questions. Teaching languages to adults is no exception. By far the best way of finding things out is to get to know other tutors, other members of the CheshireNetword group, many of them with long experience. They'll be only too pleased to help you.

However, they're not always there when you need them so these pages aim to provide an alternative. They answer some frequently asked questions, offer advice about planning and preparing lessons and give some pointers to useful published resources. Experienced tutors are also an excellent source of good ideas and class activities that really work. Bright ideas are not their sole preserve though; tutors new to the classroom often see things with a clear eye and are able to suggest fresh new approaches. We're essentially a self-help group so don't hold back. If you have a good idea or a suggestion that you feel might be of interest to other tutors, then let us have it, either by contributing to a conversation on the TalkPage, or by e-mailing Chris Ball on info@cheshirenetword.co.uk
